Maria Montessori viewed education as an aid to life. She spent multiple years observing children of all ages allowing her to create a prepared environment. The Montessori method is based on the child’s natural progression through the planes of development, encouraging the child to engage in spontaneous & meaningful work.

Owner and Principal, Andreia Moniz, had the dream to open her own school once she discovered the Montessori Method after completing her studies with The College of Modern Montessori in 2008.

The school took a total of six years to complete and today, provides children with a safe and loving environment to learn and have fun whilst doing so.

Andreia  has an immense passion for children and their well-being, which is the exact passion she looks for in each of her staff members.

The name Zenith Montessori was chosen as “Zenith” being the highest point of the atmosphere, which directly corresponds with the schools motto.
Each child will be given the opportunity to reach their highest potential on all four planes of development in a safe, nurturing and prepared environment.

We aim to nurture the love of learning and compassion in every child. The challenging and prepared environment allows each child to develop self-discipline, positive self-image, a sense of responsibility and a lifelong love of work.

We create a habit of concentration and routine, allowing the child’s inner need for order and curiosity to be directly satisfied.
